438,138. Frames and the like for supporting viands while cooking. HALL, D., and HALL, C. L., Southville Works, Lydstep Terrace, Southville, Bristol. May 12, 1934, No. 14432. [Class 28 (i)] A cooking-pan is provided with a detachable grid comprising a frame d which rests on the bottom of the pan, parallel pivoted side links e supporting a grid c on which the food rests, a clip j on the frame d for securing it to the side of the pan remote from the handle, and a hook m on the grid which engages one of a series of holes in the handle of the pan. According to the hole in which the hook m is engaged, the side links e are correspondingly positioned and the height of grid c above the bottom of the pan is determined. The grid c comprises side members k, and cross-bars f, the links e being formed by extensions of some of the cross-bars f, these bars being journalled in the sides k and in the frame h. Some of the bars f are bent downwards at i to rest on the floor of the pan when the grid is in its lowest position.
