Abstract
437,687. Cabinets. WOLSTENHOLME, F., 44, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, near Bolton. July 4, 1934, No. 19652. [Class 52 (i)] [See also Group VI] A meat safe or like container has three doors, the uppermost being of relatively small height as compared with its width and being pivoted about a horizontal axis, whilst the other two are slidable in their own plane. The safe comprises a frame 13 having a pair of doors 15, 16 slidable in grooves 20 in the frame. The doors are of equal weight and are connected by cords 17 passing over pulleys 19. An upper door 23 is hinged to a transverse member 21. When the door 16 is lowered, the door 15 passes up behind the door 23. Shelves may be fitted in the planes of the lower edges of the doors or they may be adjustable. The doors and walls of the safe may be of plywood or perforated zinc panels. The doors 15, 16 may, if desired, be suspended independently by means of counterweights or endless cords.
