[Class 38 (v)] An electrically operated hand tool is controlled by a quick - break switch 4 operated by a lever 5 and having a base 3 mounted on the motor casing 1. A wound condenser 8, having lugs 8<a> for connecting across the terminals of the switch, is mounted in a recess 3<a> in the base of the switch by means of a fused mass 9, and serves to suppress sparking.
