434,484. Pneumatic tyres. HOLLOWAY, T. F., Trevayler, Romsley Hill, Halesowen, Worcestershire. Jan. 29, 1935, No. 2911/34. [Class 144 ii)] Means for inflating tyres whilst running, from a pump or compressed-air reservoir on the vehicle, comprise a supply-conduit 15 and a feed-pipe 16 leading to the tyre-valve 17, the pipes 15, 16 being connected to non-rotary and rotary elements 12, 9 respectively. To obtain a fluid-tight joint, one of the parts 9, 12 is formed with a flange at its inner and /or outer periphery to engage a grease-packed recess, such as 8, in the other part. A spring 13 may be fitted behind the non-rotary part, and the two parts may be formed of dissimilar metals, such as steel and phosphor-bronze.
