Abstract
434,360. Sheet-holders; pocket books. DAVIS, L. C. J., 82, Fir Street, Walkley, Sheffield. Feb. 24, 1934, No. 6114. [Class 16] In a loose-leaf book of the kind described in Specification 177,947, [Class 16], in which leaves are attached to the free edge of a carrier leaf disposed intermediate the outer covers, so that unused leaves are disposed on the top of the carrier leaf, but used leaves may be folded about the free edge of the carrier leaf to be concealed below it, there is attached to the free edge of the carrier leaf 5, ring-mechanism 3 in the form of a plate carrying anchored rings so shaped as to extend above and below the carrier leaf sufficiently to engage the leaves whether they are above or below the carrier leaf. Semicircular rings may be arranged on plates above or below the carrier leaf, and are separable to allow of removal or insertion of the leaves. A number of additional creases 7 are provided between the carrier leaf 5 and middle portion 4, to enable the book to accommodate different numbers of papers. Slots 9, 8 in the cover 6 and portion 4 allow the rings 3 to project when the book is closed. To used loose leaves, gussets may be provided between the edges of the carrier leaf 5 and middle portion 4, or a pocket may be provided below the leaf 5.
