434,297. Facing-tiles. BOOTE, Ltd., T. & R., and BOOTE, C. G. M., Waterloo Road, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. June 15, 1934, No. 17720. [Class 87 (i)] Facing-tiles for walls, floors, ceilings, and fireplaces are formed on the back, at or near to the opposite corners, with undercut arcuate keys or ribs c which taper ir width lengthwise to permit of rota tional displace ment of the tile or the forming die and ready removal therefrom. The tapering is produced by making the outer edges c<1> concentric with the centre, and the inner edges c<2> eccentric. Annular ribs a and grooves b may be added. Fig. 9 shows a rectangular tile similarly provided with tapered ribs c.
