[Class 99 (i)] [See also Group XXV] A band 4 for holding the arcuate clamping members 1 in engagement with the abutting flanges 3 of a pipe joint has its ends connected by a pin 5 disposed below the peripheral surface of the band. The band may comprise a number of sections the ends of which have interengaging tongues in which the pins are located. The tongues may be bent round the pins one or more of which may have an eccentric portion whereby the band is tightened on rotation of the pin. Specification 370,439 is referred to.
