Abstract

433,497. Kiln trucks. MOORE, B. J., Parkfield House, Princes Road, Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent, and CLIFFORD, C., Hanger Hill, Cheadle, Staffordshire. July 14, 1934, No. 20671. [Class 51 (ii)] A truck for conveying pottery goods through a heated kiln has one or more parts formed of refractory material, e.g. fireclay reinforced with one or more rods of heat resisting metal embedded in the mix before firing. As shown, a truck of the kind described in Specification 272,422, [Class 51 (ii)], is provided with uprights 11 formed in this way. The tray-supporting sleeves 12 may be formed of refractory material as described in Specification 433,473 or of metal coated with refractory material.
