Nov. 22, 1934, No. 33554. [Class 42 (i)] Pile, raising.-The pile and counter - pile rollers a<1>, ax, of a napping machine are driven by means of V-belts B<1>, B<2> of standard type, cut into lengths, and their ends fixed in clamps without any paring down or trimming of the ends. The ends are passed through V-slots in blocks f on squared parts of shafts e<1> and are clamped therein by the shafts and grub screws f<4>. The shafts e<1> are rotated in their brackets d to tension the belts and retained in adjusted position by ratchet wheels e2 and pawls e<2x>.
