430,485. Dewaxing oils. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP DE BATAAFSCHE PETROLEUM MAATSCHAPPIJ, 30, Carel van Bylandtlaan, The Hague. March 8, 1935, No. 7348. Convention date, April 25, 1934. [Class 91] In a process for dewaxing mineral oils by adding a diluent, chilling and separating the precipitated wax, the diluent used consists of a mixture of tetrahydronaphthalene and acetone or methyl ethyl ketone. Mineral, tar or shale oils or lubricating distillates may be treated with a mixture of equal parts of acetone and tetrahydronaphthalene.
