Abstract
430,277. Impact pulverizers ; mixing-apparatus. TYLER, G. M., Woodside Cottage, Lipson Road, Plymouth. March 23, 1934, No. 9148. [Classes 59 and 86] [See also Group XIII] In disintegrating, mixing, and screening compound fertilizers in apparatus of the kind described in Specification 198,582, [Class 59], the crushed material is adapted to be returned to the mill for regrinding. The mill comprises beaters 4, fan 6 and intercepting plate 5 mounted on a shaft 3 and enclosed by a screen 2 and casing 1. Material is fed to the mill by bucket conveyer 8 and the ground material discharged through screen 2 falls through conduit 11 to conveyer 9 and is elevated into conduits 12, 13 and is re-fed to the mill. The finished material is discharged into sacks through valve-controlled conduit 16, a valve in conduit 15 being closed. The casing 1 may be heated by reciprocating gas burners 22 and the heated air between casings 1, 24 may be drawn into the mill to dry the material. The buckets of the conveyers are provided with skidder bars which ride in guides 19, 20 bent over at the top to provide a vertical discharge into the mill.
