Abstract

428,849. Wire resistances. FLICKSCHU, E., 17, Bingerstrasse, Wilmersdorf, Berlin. Aug. 16, 1933, No. 22877. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 20, 1934]. [Class 37] In flexible electric heating appliances the heating conductor carrier and the layer surrounding the heat conductor, or one of the two, consists of a non-hygroscopic mass such as synthetic rubber which is able to withstand a temperature higher than that at which the heating conductor is being run. The mass is moisture-proof and contains no chemicals by which the usual materials used for the heating conductors are attached; chromium-nickel may therefore be used as the resistance wire. The heating-element may be self-contained and assembled and may, together with controlling or regulating means, be inserted or glued between plates or in a casing or pocket consisting of the above described mass. The core of the heat conductor may consist of several layers, at least one being of the non- hygroscopic mass.
