Abstract
428,750. Penwipers. LLOBERES, P. A., 3, Arrabal Fivaller, Esplugas de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain. Aug. 31, 1934, No. 25183. [Class 146 (iii)] A penwiper comprises a support on which is mounted a sheet of rubber on which the pen is pressed as if for writing, so that the points of the pen are splayed and the ink flows and carries away any foreign bodies. A frusto-conical disc A, Fig. 2, of wood or other material has a larger circular disc B of smooth rubber clamped over it by a cord C engaging in an annular recess in the disc. A metal ring E is pressed down over the disc to hold the cord in place. Alternatively, the sheet of rubber G is clamped between a ring I, Fig. 4, and disc F, and may be backed by a sheet H of cardboard &c. A ribbon K secured to the device affords means to hold it down by a paperweight or the like.
