[Classes 4 and 114] [See also Group XL] The apparatus described in Specification 393,436 for automatically steering aircraft is modified (a) in respect of the utilization of a non-linear resistance 15 of the kind described in Specification 292,110, [Class 37], for securing a characteristic current response in a zerocentre meter 13 according as the directive frame aerial 1 moves to one side or the other of a critical position, and (b) in minor detents in the arrangement of the control relays and associated apparatus, particularly as regards the use of a single motor 34 for driving both the magnetic clutches 33 and 45.
