Abstract
427,317. Grooming - appliances. WALTERS, F., 14, Bournemouth Road, Parkstone, near Bournemouth. Sept. 23, 1933, No. 26308. [Class 62] [See also Groups XXIII and XXVIII] Apparatus for cleaning horses and other animals comprises vacuum apparatus combined with a rubber or other pad. The pad comprises a circular or oval stock a, Fig. 1, of aluminium with an air outlet c for connection to an exhaust pump. An annular rubber pad i, Fig. 2, with pro - jections i is detachably secured by a plate having keyhole slots engaged by screws and nuts on the underside of the stock a. A hand strap o is provided on the upper side of the stock. In a modification Fig. 8 a rubber pad r is attached to the stock by a band u and tightening screw t attached to a plate secured to the pad. A perforated plate v serves as additional support at the centre of the pad. In some cases rubber projections on the pad are perforated and connect with the exhaust. The pads may be of sponge rubber and vary in hardness for different animals.
