Abstract

560,136. Skis. KELLER, C. V. April 2, 1942, No. 4386. Convention date, March 20, 1941. [Class 132 (i)] A device on skis for protecting the upper edges and surface is characterised in that at least two longitudinal ribs projecting from the surface of the ski as well as suitable means for fastening them are provided, the ribs being preferably made of a material stronger than that of the skis. As shown in cross-section in Fig. 4, three ribs are dove-tailed into the body of the ski. The ribs may have various crosssections and may be extended to protect the side and lower edges of the ski, Fig. 16. The ribs may be secured by glue, screws or other means, and may consist of celluloid, rubber, fibre, metal or other hard-wearing material.
