[Class 20 (iv)] The sheet metal risers 1 of staircases are recessed at 5 to take blocks 6 of wood or other suitable material, to which stair rod eyes or clips can be secured. The recess may extend the full length of the riser or may consist of two or more comparatively short recesses in which separate blocks of wood can be secured.
