[Class 97 (i)] In apparatus for films having a pitch other than 19 millimetres, the intermittent sprocket is of the size normally used for films having a pitch of 19 millimetres, and gearing is interposed between the Maltese cross and the sprocket; one member of the gearing may be adjustable to minimize backlash. As shown, gears d, e connect the spindle of a Maltese cross c and the spindle of a sprocket f. The gear ratio may be greater or less than one, and the axis of the sprocket f may be in alignment with the axis of the shaft g of the pin wheel b. The gear e may comprise members e<1>, e<2>, Fig. 3, relatively rotatable to remove backlash, and secured together by screws k.
