425,212. Animal traps. ELLIS, C., Wellands Farm, Axminster, Devon. June 18, 1934, No. 14909/33. [Class 5 (i)] A vermin trap comprises a cylindrical outer casing a provided at suitable distances from its ends with spring-controlled doors gl, g<2> and at the centre of its lower part with a pivoted treadle c connected to the doors by mechanism comprising a double elbow rod j pivotally mounted at k in the direction of the length of the trap on the top of the outer casing a, rods h<1>, h<2> secured to the doors g<1>, g<2>, and mechanism interposed between said elbow rod and the treadle c : the latter mechanism comprises a wire l connected to a lever f engaging a loop e on a pivot rod d on which the treadle is mounted. A tray m prevents escape of the vermin beneath the treadle.
