Abstract
423,574. Looms with stationary weft supplies. DEWAS, R., 120, Boulevard de St.-Quentin, Amiens, France. Oct. 24, 1934, No. 30513. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1933. Addition to 410,018. [Class 142 (ii)] In dummy shuttles of the kind claimed in the parent Specification, the longer branch 3 is prolonged beyond the shorter branch 2 whilst retaining its width and ends in a cant 13 forming a point 14 close to the reed 7. The inner face of the branch 3 is inclined at 121 parallel to the slot or groove 12, while that part of the face adjacent the narrow side 4 of the inserter has an inclined surface 13<1> leading by a bevelled part 15<1> to a thickened part 15 adjacent a cant 16 on the shorter branch 2 of the inserter. The weft 18 is severed by an inclined cutting blade 11 arranged at the bottom of the groove between the branches and passing into a stripping orifice 111 that is formed in one of the branches and ensures engagement of the weft with the cutter.
