423,198. Saddles. JELLEY, H., Drilastic Works, Warwick Road, Tyseley, Birmingham. Sept. 2, 1933, No. 24381. [Class 136 (iii)] A moulded seat or top for a cycle or like saddle is composed wholly or mainly of rubber composition, and comprises a supple cr pliant body and an integral system of cord-like ribs or beadings which are adapted to serve as spring or elastic supporting-media for the load-carrying regions of the body and are arranged in fan-wise disposition below the wider region thereof. A moulded top a of rubber &c., with or without fabric insertions, is formed on its underside with integral ribs or beadings b, which constitute tension springs for supporting the regions between the side skirts c. The main body of the top a and the skirts c are of soft pliable material, and the ribs b may be of a stronger but elastic material which is integrally incorporated' in the top during moulding. The ribs may be of varying size or flexibility at different regions of the top.
