[Class 29] A cabinet is cooled by ice, e.g. solid carbon dioxide, disposed in a recess in the floor of the cabinet. Heat-conducting plates D are arranged between the ice and the cooling-space of the cabinet. The recess may be provided with a heatinsulated cover C. Fixed or movable wooden partitions F may be arranged between the plates D and the goods to be cooled. In a modification, the plates D are dispensed with and replaced by independent bars connected either directly or through a metal plate with the ice. The bars may be automatically disconnected from their association with the ice.
