422,453. Extracting juice from lemons &c. STAINES, F., 94, Victoria Street, London. Aug. 1, 1934, No. 22435. [Class 28 (ii)] In a fruit-juice extractor of the kind comprising a receptacle for the fruit into which a pivoted plunger is pressed, the ejector plate 9, which is freely pivoted between the presser face 8<a> and the back wall of the receptacle, has a number of blunt ribs 11<a> which prevent the fruit from slipping. Spikes 12 may be arranged between the ribs. The ejector is operated, when the lever 8 is swung upwards, by the edge of the face plate 8<a> secured to the lever, contacting with an extension 11 of the ejector. Juice escapes through a hole 2 in the bottom of the receptacle, a grid being provided to prevent the passage of pips &c.
