Abstract
421,924. Toy electromotors. TRIX, Ltd., 4, Golden Lane, London.-(Assignees of Vereinigte Spielwaren-fabriken A. F÷rtner & J. Haffner's Nachfolger Ges.; 15, Kobergerstrasse, Nuremberg, Germany) Jan. 1, 1934, No. 49. Convention date, Jan. 16, 1933. [Class 132 (iii)] [See also Group XXXV] A toy electromotor comprising magnet 1, armature 3, and shaft 2 is mounted on a baseplate 6 of sheet metal or pressed artificial composition having stamped-out elements 8 .. 13 for fixing the motor laterally and longitudinally and having side flanges 7 provided with one or more rows of holes 7a, 7b for attaching the baseplate to structural members of metal construction sets. The shaft 2 carries a commutator 4 against which bear the spring brushes 5 which are centrally slit longitudinally, Fig. 4, to form two spring tongues bent at different heights 19, 20 to bridge over the air gap of the commutator. The current is admitted through two spring terminals 18 fed from a pocket lamp battery and connected to the spring brushes 5. A crank 14, pulley 15, toothed wheel 16 and pinion 17 are mounted at the front end of the shaft 2 for transmission purposes. Specification 363,547 is referred to.
