Abstract

417,229. Grinding-wheels. KRUG, C., 4, Cretzschmarstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. March 5, 1934, No. 6974. [Class 60.] A grinding-wheel comprises an abrasive ring 3 cemented at 11 to a steel reinforcing ring 4, which is recessed to receive flanges 5, 5<a> respectively on a supporting disc 1 and on a clamping- ring 7 held in position by screws 6 ; the disc 1 is formed with a peripheral part 2 on which the ring 4 seats. In a modification, intended for large wheels, the ring 4 is not recessed, the flanges 5, 5<a> engaging the side faces of the ring. The ring 4, in both constructions, has annular grooves 9 to receive balancing-bodies 10.
