Abstract

416,596. Kettles &c. BAKER, Ltd., F., BAKER, A., BAKER, H. W., and BAKER, H. E., 30, Park Street, Birmingham. May 2, 1933, No. 12707. [Class 66.] The bottom of the kettle 9 or the like is provided with a recess 2 surrounded by an annular backing plate 3. A conically flanged member 4 carrying an attachment stud 6 is arranged in the recess and the edge of the flange is pressed over the edge of the plate and gripped in the fold formed in the wall of the recess. The conical flange is slotted to facilitate spreading. The stud 6 is fixed to the member 4 by means of a tapped disc 7. An electric heating element 10 is clamped against the kettle bottom by a dome-shaped plate 11 mounted on the stud. The kettle is shaped by spinning after the backing plate 3 has been secured to the blank.
