Abstract
415,911. Crown - corks for bottles. WHITELEY, W. H., 7, Travers Street, Linwood, and BEARDSLEY, H. C., 163, Simeon Street, Spreydon, both in Christchurch, New Zealand. Nov. 10, 1933, No. 31396. Convention date, Nov. 10, 1932. [Class 125 (iii).] A crown-cork comprises a sheet metal cap 1 and a resilient disc, and is formed with a flange 2 and a lifting tongue 4. The tongue 4 is crimped to correspond with the flange 2 and is formed by increasing the depth of the flange at one portion, which is sloped gradually into the flange.
