Abstract

415,039. Brackets and shelves. SNEAD & CO., Pine Street, Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Waite, C. C. ; 26, Roselle Avenue East, Roselle Park, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Feb. 7, 1933, No. 31983. Convention date, April 27, 1932. Divided on 415,028. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (v).] A bracket book-shelf comprises a number of spaced hollow bars 20 and end bracket members 8 hinged to the bars with the hinge means serving to support and space the bars. The lower parts of the brackets form end closures for the open-ended bars when in bracketforming position, and the brackets may be folded down on to the shelf. The bars 20 are channel shaped, and fit between pairs of spaced lugs 21, 22 formed on the brackets. A hinge pin 15 passes through aligned holes in the ends of the bars and through slots 22b in the lugs 22 and recesses in the lugs 21, and is secured by a nut 17. The hinge pin 15 is retained in place by pinching in arms 22<c> on the lugs 22 after the pin has been inserted in the slots 22b. Specification 415,028 is referred to.
