[Class 132 (i).] In a dog or like racing track, the lure-carrying trolley is moved along a rigid track by one or more cables, chains or the like engaging pulleys, rollers, sprockets or the like located round the course and rotated by another cable, chain or the like passing round other pulleys integral or having driving connection with the first-mentioned pulleys and propelled by hand or power. As shown, the trolley 4 comprises four wheels 5 engaging the girder 1 constituting the track and guide rollers 6 engaging the web portion of the girder 1. A pulley 7 mounted on each sleeper 2 has grooves 8, 9, an endless cable 10 secured to a bracket 13 depending from an arm 14 carried by the trolley 4 engaging the grooves 8 and a cable 15 passing round a hand or motor driven drum and tensioned by jockey rollers engaging the grooves 9. Rollers 18 prevent the cable 10 from engaging in the grooves 9. The line may be mounted on a pivoted arm held in operative position against a spring by trip mechanism. In a modification the grooves may be on separate pulleys on a common spindle or coupled by gearing and pawl-and-ratchet mechanism may be provided in one or both sets of pulleys.
