Abstract
413,089. Fluid - pressure brakes. ROVER CO., Ltd., and WILKS, M. C., New Meteor Works, Helen Street, Coventry. April 13, 1933, No. 11066. [Class 103 (i).] In a hydraulic or other fluid - pressure brake wherein a pair of brake shoes 14 are operated by pistons 13 in a common cylinder 12, flow of fluid from end to end of the cylinder is damped or restricted to prevent vibrations of one shoe from being transmitted to the other. This may be effected by the provision of a partition 17, Fig. 1, which divides the supply port 15 or by a partition which is at least as wide as the port and has a part cut away adjacent the port to permit the entry of the fluid or by a grooved frictionally held piston 17, Fig. 6, having unaligned passages 23.
