Abstract
Dental moulds or embedding masses are made from a composition which contains, in addition to the usual fillers, accelerators or hardening agents, 25 to 40 per cent of a plaster of Paris of the following physical properties:-weight by volume "loosely put in" above 0,9 gms. per cc., "shaken in" above 1,45 gms. per cc., a "strewed in quantity" of 230 gms. per 100 ccs., and a "thickest consistency" of at least 300 gms. per 100 ccs. These terms are defined in the Specification. In an example, 40 parts by weight of plaster of Paris with such properties is mixed with 55 parts of quartz powder, 5 parts of kaolin and 0,5 parts of potassium sulphate.
