Abstract

410,953. Tables; desks. CHALLENS, W. H., 23, Meldrum Road, Goodmayes, Essex, and DOUGHTY & SONS, Ltd., J. M., 214, St. John Street, Clerkenwell, London. March 22, 1933, No. 8689. [Class 52 (iii).] In a table of the kind comprising an adjustable top n on a horizontal overhanging member j, with means m, r for adjusting its inclination, the member j is fitted in a socket k ; the top n having then been set perfectly horizontal, the parts j, k are permanently secured together, e.g. by drilling them and inserting a rivet &c. k<1>. The parts m, r are of a known kind comprising a sector m with a series of perforations q in which engages the tapered end of a spring plunger r arranged in a block s secured to the member j. The base, telescopic member h, and other parts are of stainless steel or are chromium plated.
