Abstract

410,543. Pasteurizing milk &c. in bottles. ENOCK, A. G., Dutch House, Raglan Gardens, Wembley Park, Middlesex. Dec. 13, 1932, No. 35270. [Class 49.] Relates to carriers for bottles, during pasteurizing or sterilizing operations, of the type in which a spring controlled cap with a resilient pad conforms to the neck of the bottle. Such a holder or carrier is described in Specification 363,071. According to the invention the holder comprises a frame A to receive the bottle, and a flat pressure plate B having a resilient surface C which engages, but does not enter, the bottle mouth. A spring D forces the plate towards the bottle and retains it there during treatment. The frame A may be in one piece or may comprise a composite cage. An eyebolt d or hook is provided for suspending the holder from a conveyer. In a modification a second sealing member engages the bottle-neck. The holder may have accommodation for a number of bottles.
