Disc closures for bottles, jars, &c. consist of two discs of similar size secured together one upon another, the upper disc 1, which is of soft material such as cardboard or cork, serving as a closing member whilst the lower disc 3, which is of resilient material such as metal or celluloid, springs into the groove 6 in the neck of the bottle &c. to retain the closure when it is inserted therein.
