Abstract
409,848. Weft - feeler arrangements for looms. NELSON, J., Valley Mills, Nelson, Lancashire. Dec. 5, 1933, No. 1625. [Class 142 (iii).] The head C of a weft - feeler for stopping the loom or for weft replenishment purposes is mounted to revolve freely on a spindle B in the shank A. The head may be made of vulcanized fibre when applied to mechanical motions, but is made of metal in devices wherein the feeler makes electrical contact with a metal sleeve on the bobbin D when the weft E is exhausted. The head may be plain, or serrated as shown. The invention may be applied to any feeler mechanism which depends on the contact or non-contact of the bunch of weft on the bobbin.
