Abstract

409,491. Extruding plastic substances. LEFNAER, O., 2, VI K÷nigseggasse, Vienna. March 13, 1933, Nos. 7645 and 7646. Convention dates, April 16, 1932 and Oct. 27, 1932. [Class 87 (ii).] An extrusion machine comprises a chamber d in which works a drum a having slots or gratings on its periphery to permit plastic material to pass through, the material being subsequently expelled through the slots and thence to the mouthpiece e by the action of a fixed or rotary member b mounted eccentrically within the drum a. A drag roller c to press the material into the slots in the drum a, is provided. When the member b is rotary, it may have teeth or projections engaging in the slots in the drum a so that it may be carried round therewith. The member b may be omitted.
