Abstract

408,490. Waste-fittings for baths, basins, &c. FERGUSSON, G. M., 31, Royal Crescent, Notting Hill, London. July 18, 1933, No. 20278. [Class 26.] In order, to prevent accidental removal of the plug of the waste-outlet for a bath &c., the socket a, Fig. 1, is provided with a washer b, adapted to bear against the under-surface of the upper part of the socket and provided with one or more lugs b<2> adapted to co-operate with one or more lugs k, Figs. 3, 7, on the plug. The washer may be in one or two portions, and in the latter case may take the form of overlapping semicircular members. In the form of plug shown in Fig. 3, the stem d of a conical member c is surmounted by an open-ended sleeve e integral with a plate j formed with the lugs k and provided with an elongated slot g accommodating a ring h passing through an opening in the stem. In the form of plug shown in Fig. 7, the stem l is of square-section and the plate m has two small flanges n bearing against the stem. Specification 344,257 is referred to.
