Abstract

A filter pad, particularly for filtering milk, consists of compressed cotton wool without adhesive or backing. The cotton wool may be compressed in sheet form or after being cut up into pads. The cotton wool may be subjected simultaneously to heat and pressure and may have a pattern embossed upon it, e.g. by passing between heated embossing rollers.
