Abstract
Filter discs, applicable for testing milk, are prepared by perforating a strip or sheet of paper with one or more rows of holes of the size of the desired discs and applying to the paper a strip or small pieces of wadding or like filter material in such manner that the holes are covered thereby. The filtering material may be gummed to the paper. The edges of the paper may be doubled over the edges of the filter material. Or the paper may be doubled over completely, holes in the folds being arranged to correspond. Or two strips of paper with holes corresponding may be arranged to enclose a sheet of filtering material between them, the sheets of paper being gummed together. Elements of the required size are finally cut from the strip.
