[Class 37.] An electric resistance is made from material of open work formation such as wire mesh or expanded metal 2, partially or wholly embedded in a heat absorbing material, such as cement, which provides thermal capacity and gives mechanical strength to the resistance bar. The terminal portions 1 of the resistance element may be plain and the resistance may be of any cross sectional shape.
