Abstract

404,339. Fuel-injection pumps. AMAL, Ltd., and COMERY, W., Holford Drive, Perry Barr, Birmingham. July 13, 1932, No. 19799. [Class 102 (i).] A fuel-injection pump of the kind having a hollow plunger 2 with transverse spill port 3 co-operating with an adjustable sleeve 4, is disposed within a cylinder 6 having a transverse inlet 5 controlled by the outer end of the plunger and there is a piston type delivery valve 7 which maintains closed the delivery port 8 until the plunger has effectively sealed the inlet port. Beyond the plunger 7 is a casing which contains a spring 14 and is ported to lead to a delivery outlet 11. A packing piece 16 is provided between this outer casing and the cylinder body.
