Sept. 7, 1932, No. 24922 [Class 83 (ii).] A tubular post a is made from a metallic strip the edges of which are notched at b to form apertures h when the tube is formed. A cap e grooved at f is forced onto the top of the tube, and cleats comprising tongues c are pressed out from the tube by a tool inserted through the apertures h. A collar d is formed at the lower end of the tube, which may be connected to a base g as shown, or inserted in a bearing socket.
