Abstract
401,068. Roll-film cameras. KODAK, Ltd., Kodak House, Kingsway, London, and NAGEL, H., c/o Kodak, Ltd., Harrow, Middlesex. Aug. 11, 1932, No. 22473. [Class 98 (i).] To facilitate entry and escape of air when a bellows camera is being opened and closed (and vice versa), the spool housing E has an inner wall G spaced from the camera wall A<2>. The wall G forms an extension of the rear frame F<2>. The upper and lower end members Fl of this frame are recessed below the side members F which determine the focal plane and on to which the film is pressed by a resilient back-plate. The air passes from the bellows, as indicated by arrows, between the recessed ends F<1> and the film, through the spool housing and an opening H<1> at the end of the wall G. The outlet opening H<2> from the space H opens into the central part A<1> of the camera and is shut off by the folding baseboard B when the camera is closed, thereby excluding dust. Dust and light are further excluded by baffle spacing pieces J in the space H. Specification 398,597 is referred to.
