Abstract
400,370. Refrigerators. ELECTROLUX, Ltd., 153, Regent Street, London.- (Assignees of Platen-Munters Refrigerating System Aktiebolag ; 2, Norrmalmstorg, Stockholm.) July 21, 1932, No. 20614. Convention date, July 25, 1931. [Class 29.] An element of refrigerating-apparatus, particularly an evaporator 19, to be located in the interior of a cabinet 10 is inserted through an opening in the wall surrounded by a collar 22, and the opening is sealed by means of a rubber or like washer 24 placed over the edge of the collar, and contacting with the evaporator. Where a cylindrical gas heat exchanger is connected between the evaporator and the absorber of the refrigerating apparatus and is located inside the cabinet, this is engaged by the washer. The gas heat exchanger 27 may, however, be located in the thickness of the cabinet wall with the connecting-pipes 28, 29 passing through the collar. A thin layer of insulation 43 may then be applied outside the exchanger. The base insulation 25 is fitted after the parts have been assembled and is secured by the outer base plate 26. While the evaporator is being inserted in the cabinet a cooli,ng body 23, with freezing container 33, is fitted over it and subsequently clamped thereto. This body is constructed as set forth in Specification 400,545, and is provided with a lug 36 to support a shelf 37, the opposite cabinet wall having a groove 38 to provide the other support. A curved recess 39 to receive a bottle &c. may be formed in the top or side wall of the cabinet opposite the cooling body, which may be formed with a complementary recess, and a groove 40 in the base leading to a waste trap 42 may be provided for condensation moisture.
