June 6, 1933, No. 16297. Convention date, June 7, 1932. [Class 100 (iv).] In a vibrator mechanism for two-colour inkribbons for typewriters, the ribbon fork 2 is linked to an arm 8 which is loose on the universal shaft 4, and is actuated by the rotation of the shaft 4 to an extent depending on the position of a strip 11, which slides in apertures in two arms 9 which are fast to the shaft 4. The strip 11 carries two adjustable screws 12, 121 and, by sliding the strip longitudinally, either or neither of the screws may be made to engage a projection 10 on the arm 8. Thus, when the shaft 4 is rotated by the actuation of a key, different amounts of throw, or no throw at all, are produced in the ribbon fork.
