Abstract

399,671. Drying-apparatus. RISTOW, C., 31, M³hlenstrasse, Berlin. Dec. 3, 1932, No. 34331. Convention date, Dec. 30, 1931. [Class 34 (ii).] In apparatus for making paper bottles, the bottles, after leaving the shaping &c. devices, are delivered to holders 41 on an elevator or conveyer 42 by which they are carried, after a preliminary drying in the chamber 43, into the heated impregnating bath 27. The saturated bottles are then carried upwards through the chamber 43 in a zig-zag path and past a constricted part 28 thereof where the worm eddy currents rapidly dry the bottles which then pass into the cooler chamber 29 and an open air track 30.
