Abstract

399,580. Clips. THOMSON, H. A., 81c, Lexham Gardens, Kensington, London. April 26, 1932, No. 11901. [Class 44.] A device for marking a particular page in a book, or for attachment to cards or the like for index &c. purposes, comprises a transparent member 1 secured through an intermediate portion 3 to a translucent or opaque member 2, and a wire spring 5 adapted to hold on to the opposite outside edges of the members to press the two members towards each other. The members 1, 2 may comprise a pair of strips of resilient material such as celluloid secured by adhesive to the portion 3. The spring 5 is made from a single piece of metal and sprung into notches 8 in the sides of the strips 1, 2, and acts upon the latter to grip material introduced between them at 4. In a modified form of spring clip the free ends do not meet.
