[Class 16] A bookmarker consists of two metal clips A, which are placed on the covers of the book and are joined by a length of elastic material B, on which slides a metal &c. disc C, so that the disc falls between the pages when the book is closed. The disc is confined between two knots or metal tags D, and is slotted, so that it can be removed when the elastic is stretched. The elastic may be replaced by inelastic material combined with elastic or springs. The metal clips may be of the push-on type or may have spring-closed jaws.
