[Class 99 (i).] A cup-leather packing-ring 6 is housed in a recess in the socket member 2 to which the spigot member 3 may be secured by a bayonet type joint. The cup-leather may be secured in a recess of the spigot by a nut 5, Fig. 10, its position being reversed for use in a vacuum pipe line. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 20027/94, 13284/01, [both in Class 99, Pipes &c.], 13179/11, 105,651, and 234,863, [all in Class 99 (i), Pipes and tubes, Joints &c. for].
