398,911. Kinematograph apparatus; photographic apparatus. KODAK, Ltd., Kingsway, London.-(Assignees of Bouveng, N. ; Elgo Saltsjobaden, Sweden.) March 24, 1932, No. 17018/33. Convention date, March 28, 1931. Divided on 398,894. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i).] One end of a kinematograph film D is detachably connected to the spool C in a spoolbox A, and the continuity of the perforations in the film is interrupted adjacent that end secured to the spool B, as shown in Fig. 2. The film D after being wound from the spool B on to the spool C cannot become detached from the spool B, but on rewinding it becomes detached from the spool C and wholly rewound on the spool B. Either of the spools B, C can be driven by a friction drive such as belt drive. In a modification, instead of interrupting the continuity of the perforations to arrest the operation of the film-feeding mechanism, the end of the film may be fixed to the spool B to prevent detachment. With single-claw feed mechanism the perforations may be interrupted in one edge only.
